I admit that this is an issue and definitely some resolution would be found. What i don’t understand is what Juanita actually said which made Bishop Weeks return to Choke her on the neck, push her, kick her and stomp her as described by the media. If they can both tell us exactly what happened i’ld be glad. I’m not on anybody’s side and I won’t like to depend of the media for such sensitive information. Let the horses speak for themselves please – thanks.

I am a survivor of physical abuse at the hand of a man. I am also a minister and truely love the Lord. It is my opinion that there are two sides to every story. When you are in ministry, things can weigh heavy on your heart. We tend to carry the cares of the ministry instead of leaving them at the feet of Jesus. Jesus was never violent to others and always moved in love. Only you, your wife and God truely know what took place on that day.
God is the healer of the brokenhearted and only he can minimize the damage that was done as a result of the incident at the Hotel. Search your heart and examine your motives and allow God to change you. Minsters are scrutinized by the media anytime sin comes into their lives. People are always watching and that adds presure and tension. Pride is our biggest ememy and we must humble ourselves in the sight of God and repent so that the fruit in our lives will produce goodness for God’s Kingdom. God is drawing us back to fellowship with him and sin is being exposed. This is why we must walk closely with Jesus day in and day out. My prayer for all who are involved is, “Lord Jesus show them their error and forgive them, teach then by your presence to have mercy where mercy is do. To be direct, in love, where it is needed. Let everyone humble themselves in the sight of God and pray for healing to the body of Christ.”

While I realize Bishop had to write down what he wanted to say what I dont understand is why it sounded so rehearsed. I dont believe a word of what he said…You know an abuser always has a smooth tongue and a kind word in public.

    Seek Jesus you need him…

How, what a disaster! Jesus is on His way back for sure…actually he’s at the door right now. The whole situation is still unclear. Yet, in my opinion if the saints who happen to be married can’t stay together and work things out, then what/how can we preach to the world. In the ministry, I feel that people (especially women) should not broadcast your business to the congregation. I too am married and things haven’t always been perfect, but you couldn’t pay me to openly discuss matters of home to the public. Thomas had no business hitting her, but I would guarantee that it hasn’t been the first time. Juanita needs to calm down and shut her mouth. She’s all over the place. Prayer right now is of the essence, and if she’s so busy on t.v. and doing talk shows relevant to her situation, then what time does she have in prayer? This is a mark on the church world. We are the light of the world. What kind of light is that to the world? If she thinks this is a forum for her to expose him and in hopes to get more notariety, then she is off track. This is only the beginning. I think she is hurting, angry, and her super huge ego is punctured. She talks too much, always have, and all of it ain’t from God. Now, I’ve heard she was on the Tom Joyner show. She needs to shut up and pray. The devil ain’t through making a fool out of her. Whatever Thomas’s issues are, I’m sure within seven years, she ain’t just found it out…why then would they have been separated for months prior to the attack. The man apparently has issues that she knew about. Last final words…the scripture says, “If a man be overtaken in a fault, we which are spiritual restore him in the spirit of meekness considering your ownselves, lest thou be tempted of the same matter.” Remember TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE YOU.

This press conference is null and void! No one really needs to know what have prior. They want to know why you CHOKED HER AND HIT HER! No man should ever hit a woman! If it was that bad, you should have walked away, MAN OF GOD!

  6. Mickey said

This comment is for Graci. How can you say she needs to shut her mouth? This is the problem know one wants to talk about this. This is for the woman all over the world who is living with this everyday. Why does it matter if it was Juanita Bynum or your sister, daughter, or mother?

There are no two sides to every story physical abuse is wrong. Some women feel if I would not have said that nor done that. Then maybe I would not have been hit. Now that is when the DEVIL is a LIAR.

All I know is, two dominant personalities cannot reside in one place unless one of them takes to themselves, submission. this applies to any, and every situation because eventually, one has to slight or, offend the other and this leaves occasion for flesh to rise up. My prayer is for the healing of them both. Separation is heartwrenching, and if one says it’s not I suspect they were spiritually and emotionally numb already.

  8. please note that we can talk to much. and we must remain prayerful. i am on tour to take this same message to state to state. that domestic violence can lead to destruction and can kill.i pray for healing of the heart. i am also a pastor that can goes through years of abuse. and now is spending the rest of my life. to bring healing to others. love pastor gail p. rutledge

The end is near, Jesus is coming back sooner than we think, i cannot imagine God’s pain at this present time with regard to Juanita and her husband, we as the church yes we can condemn the sin, but we have to love the sinner, ask yourself ‘what would Jesus say’, many of the comments on these children of God has not been edifying, yes we can be upset, but we need to to use wisdom and keep a watch over our tongue, lets pray for them, what they are both going through regardless of how they are both going about it through the media affects us all, the world is laughing and pointing the finger, should we give them more ammunation? no, we are all members of the body of Christ, the pain, anger, bitterness etc affects us all, we need to take this to the LOrd in prayer on their behalf and pray for God’s forgiveness and restoration, sin kills the spirit, cripples the soul and weakens the body, we are fighting a spiritual battle, and spritual war calls for spirtual weapons, as our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to pull down all spiritual wickedness. My sprit goes out to both of them and i feel the pain, tears well up in my eyes, imgaine how God must feel, imgaine Jesus been nailed to the cross again, the thorn on His head, but the Love in His eyes, lets PRAY, THIS CAN ONLY BE WON IF WE AS A BODY STAND IN UNITY AND CONFRONT THE ENEMY OF OUR SOUL! I know God will work all things out for their good. HE THAT IS WITHOUT SIN LET HIM CAST THE FIRST STONE! LOOK UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO LAY BLAME OR USE WORDS THAT WILL NOT GLORIFY GOD,BUT DO MOR DAMAGE, PRAYER AND LOVE INDEED IS THE KEY, CORINTHIANS 13 MUST BE IN ACTION. GOD IS LOVE AND AS HIS CHILDREN, BORN OF LOVE, LET US PUT THIS INTO ACTION, NOT JUST SAY IT, BUT MEAN IT AND ACT ON IT. JESUS IS WAITING ON YOU AND ME, STOP POINTING THE FINGER AND GET PRAYING. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

My heart reaches out to both of them, As christians we shoulod stand with them in these difficult times and stop all the publicity we’re giving this unfortunate event. Let’s not be judgemental, because we do not know what happened. Let’s leave the judgement to God

I am grieved by this for the body of Christ. I trust that God will get the glory out of this somehow. The description given to us by the media only adds salt to the wound of the condition of our world, but in defense of both parties – I pray that mouths become silent until both sides have been heard.

We know that there is ALWAYS 2 sides to every story. I have been following Juanita’s ministry since the beginning of her rise; I have learned a lot from her.

I don’t know the honest details of what happened but I believe for the glory of God it will all come out in the wash.

Right now I believe both leaders need our prayers and trust that God will take care of it.

There is never any excuse for striking your spouse, except with imminent threat to life. This shameful and embarassing exhibition is used in matters of control, intimadation, retaliation and or retribution. A humble apology and acknowledgemenet of his need for better control over himself would be more appreciated. Not a dicussion about events that led up to the attack. I don’t care that they spent the entire night together before the alleged attack occured and that they did not meet for reconciliation but for another reason all together. Who cares? If we as the body of Christ can not depend on sheperds that are leading people not to beat their wives were are truly in trouble this is not a judgement, just a fact. Remember we are the light of the world we are to exhibit how to conduct our lives in diffcult situations.

Ministers should not be wealthy. Money seems to be the root of all the evil coming from both sides of this distention. Money is the root of all evil, and so it goes and shows.

The Word of God says that Husbands should love their wives, even as Christ Loved the church. I don’t care what took place that night except for the fact that Bishop Weeks should never have put his hands on His wife – under NO circumstances! The Word also says “For a Bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; (Titus 1:7). The fruit of the Spirit says we should be self-controlled.

I pray for both of them. May God heal and truely bless those two. The devil is a liar, they are only human, only God know there heart. No one is perfect, but the Heavenly Father, they are still Chrisitians, and God love us all.

My prayer to all of you is judge not lest you be also judge. It takes two people to bust up a marriage. The events prior to the situation we will never know, yes he should have walked away, but he didn’t but you life happens. God is a forgiver and not matter what Thomas weeks or Juanita did God forgives them, it is life and life happens, To anymous person who made the evil comment Man looks on the outward apperance but God looks on the heart. Here is something we all need to know from now on. In the Body of Christ there should be an EQUALITY in prosperity. The Word states clearly that extremely wealthy preachers are supposed to share their wealth with their congregations. Take a look:

2 Cor 8:14: “But by an equality…that your abundance may supply their lack, and their abundance also may supply your lack, that THAT THERE BE AN EQUALITY.”

I seriously doubt we’ll be hearing sermons on this issue any time soon, from both sides of the issue.

As a minister of the gospel, who is married to a minister of the gospel, I truly understand the
inward struggles and the outward pressures that are put upon you to “do everything right” – “live up to the call”.
This is why we MUST develop a lifestyle of prayer and fasting on a regular basis, in order that God can keep us “IN ORDER”.
Without it, we’re doomed before we start!
Too many times even we as minister, we find ourselves outside of the will of God, trying to do things our way – trying to fix it – trying to work it out.
Brothers and sisters, no matter WHO YOU ARE, when there are problems and struggles, and all types of confusion within your marriage YOU NEED JESUS!
You may need to STAY HOME, instead of going to that conference out of town, to collect MORE BOOKS, and, MORE TAPES, even though you don’t use all the ones you have right now!
What I’ve learned from being married now for almost 8 years, is that it is a CONTINUAL process of getting to know one another.
Sisters – there IS a life AFTER the white dress!
I feel that we in the ministry should be the first to practice taking more time to get to know our spouses BEFORE we come together in the house, the bedroom and, the pulpit.
I have witnessed first hand, that prayer will reveal the hidden parts that people try to keep from being exposed.
I am FULLY persuaded that there are some marriages that should have NEVER taken place!
If only they had prayed FIRST!
Brothers and sisters – those in the ministry – don’t be too proud to face the music when it relates to your situations.
We may not see what’s going on behind closed doors, but guess what? If you don’t take it to God in prayer in order that HE can handle it, it won’t stay behind closed doors for long.
Those doors will swing open for all the world to see EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE, AND WHAT YOU ARE!
I’m reminded of what Juanita says so often…I believe it and, I speak it…
“prayer doesn’t just change things…prayer changes EVERYTHING!”
    Pray saints – pray.

Have you all forgotten that this man is lying. He hasn’t even been able to humble himself long enough to admit his wrong doing and/or rightfully step down in honor of the name of the Lord. Believers and non-believers do not need to see this foolishness with him still showing up in the pulpit. He who does not gather scatters. His effort in the parking lot has not only scattered his own members but also lost souls. I know this to be true because I witness to many people and those same people who still have many questions about giving their life to Christ have asked me about this situation. They want to know why a so-called Bishop would beat his wife in the parking lot and still continue to preach. And the fact that he said she did it to herself considering he also had done this to another church member is totally insane. It’s sad the God we serve is too HOLY for this.

Let’s pray that they are able to work out their personal marital issues. I am praying for both of them, and it is not necessary for any of us to know exactly what, when or how. It’s their business. Let’s just hold them up in prayer and continue with our own lives and our own business. I have a life and ministry and will focus my real energy in allowing God to order my steps there.

we must go through the fire! in order for one to write books on marriage one MUST experience it. the weeks really have alot to preach and teach about now.this man and woman of GOD can truly give the devil a BLACK EYE by staying together.Yes,STAYING TOGETHER!shall we recieve only good at the hand of GOD and not evil. our love is not in full force when we are marching down the isle in the white gown, repeating wedding vows or on t.v. boasting and displaying the ten karats of diamond.the love of GOD is manifested in this ,while we were yet sinners christ…. while the weeks’ are yet wipping each others butts, will somebody BE STILL and say lets stay together and pray, this is what jesus prayed.he said “Father they are kicking my butt and I dont want no divorce ,so forgive ’em.I’m not saying just stay and be abused ,but we are SOLDIERS in this army of the lord and sometimes we are gonna get HIT in one way or another.it’s a sorry SAINT that can’t take a lick.we BEAT on on the devil all day long, dont think he’s not going to get a quick one in afterwhile. the weeks are too POWERFUL, they must go through this. the love that we profess and preach must be battle tested,so that we can come forth with the real gold and not the fake stuff. we got to go through for JESUS’ name sake.the name of jesus itself brings reproach and we go to be gutted like a fish and all the hell that is in us have to be cleaned out.who sinned? I say no one. this is for GOD’s glory! HE will not share the spotlight with me,you or the weeks’. Bishop and Prohetess dont give up on LOVE-JESUS have already fixed it,CAN YO PERCIEVE IT PROPHETS!
